Following a competitive tender, Briscoe Advisory was awarded a research project by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology in 2024 to help inform the government's understanding of the ecosystem and current landscape in the UK of RISC-V, an open standard, instruction set architecture (ISA). Briscoe Advisory employed a qualitative research methodology, gathering specific data, views, and insights through targeted interviews with C-level and senior members of academia, business, and not-for-profit organisations within the RISC-V ecosystem. The final report provided an analysis of the ecosystem, meeting our requirements and expectations for a high-quality report.
